Work experience

2016 –
Quantitative Developer
I'm member of the FX Options modeling group in Budapest. Our group is responsible for developing quantitative (analytical, Monte-Carlo or PDE-based) models for FX derivative pricing and risk evaluation as well as their integration to the firmwide risk infrastructure.
Assistant research fellow
Forecasting patient disease history based on real historical data. In this project I had to process a big database (more, than 10 GB) and utilize it for the creation of statistical models.
2012 – 2013
Developer / Analyst
My role was to develop and apply network-based data mining techniques, and create complementary interactive or static visualizations. Our customers had various backgrounds, like healthcare, media or politics.
2012 – 2013
Developer intern
Participated in the autumn, spring and summer internship programs as Java developer. I created a Drools based (a business rule management tool) application for intelligent database migration. During the summer program I was developing a Flex-based web application for internal usage.
I have been the treasurer of the association for the first two years. Later I contributed as a web developer to the association’s work. I helped organizing educational and social programs, such as competitions and two visits to CERN. I also contributed in organizing ICPS (International Conference for Physics Students) which took place in Budapest, during the summer of 2011.
Developer intern
Through the summer and autumn internship program I worked as a Java developer on a code cleaning plug-in for Eclipse IDE.


2013 – (2016)
Doctoral student in Statistical Physics
Supervisor: Dr. Gergely Palla
Picturask: In this project we studied the emergence of hierarchy in a homogenous group of humans, through an on-line game. As the owner of the project I implemented the software facing the subjects, and also analyzed and summarized the results.
Predket: An on-line prediction market. I was responsible for the implementation of the software, and the analysis of the results.
2011 – 2012
Student, Computational Physics
Class-first supervised learning algorithm: For a class assignment, we had to select and implement a supervised learning application. The goal was to approximate the distance of stars based on their spectra.
Thesis: For my thesis I've implemented an algorithm to find overlapping modules in a network, based on simulated annealing.
2006 – 2010
Thesis: My thesis was about the optimal usage of a cold neutron selector used in KFKI, whereas I used the Simplex method to infer the exact pixel sensitivities.
2002 – 2006
Mathematics and English
Although this might be irrelevant, but I loved going there.


2013 – 2016
Supervisor in Modern Physics Laboratory
During holography, infrared spectroscopy and spectrophotometry labs my responsibility was to prepare and conduct the measurements, and to grade the students.
2013 – 2016
Teaching assistant in Statistics and Probability Theory
I helped the preparation and grading of exams and assignments. I also did complementary tutoring. In 2016 I was responsible to teach the complete material to a foreign student.
